  It turns out the sound from the back was simply rust , and the calipers, pads and disk were fine. I didnt need to replace anything, just have the rust removed. In addition, the front sound was a damaged control arm bushing, and that the inspector found it extremely odd that the mechanic went ahead with the rotation given the control arm bushing and links needed to be replaced.

  I went in for a sound coming from my back driver side tire and from my passenger side front tire. The mechanic looking at my car told me that the sound was a result of the braking and that he wants to change everything (calipers, disk etc) and it would cost me 400$ by itself, still not knowing what the sound in the front was. I decided to hold off and get the car inspected, but I got my tires rotated anyways.

  Called in advance and got an inspection as soon as I came in. Scheduled a the repair for the next week. Paid for the inspection, but got refunded when I came back to have it repaired. Sounds like a good way to make sure people don't waste the mechanic's time. My car's been purring like a kitten ever since. These guys get the job done!
